Volunteer Expectations

VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS

At Cornerstone, we love our volunteers! Our volunteers are a vital part of our vision and we make it simple and joyful for them to serve.

All Activate Kids Ministry Staff and Volunteers must:

·       Must know Jesus as their personal savior – Admit that we all have sinned, Believe that Christ can save you, and Confess that He is the Lord of your life.

·       Have a relationship with God- commit to praying and reading your Word on a consistent basis

·       Be a regular attendee or member of Cornerstone

·       Complete and sign an application and background check.

·       Agree to learn and follow our children’s ministry guidelines and procedures.

Guidelines

·       Volunteers should arrive at least 20 minutes early to their classrooms or areas of responsibility.

·       Volunteers should notify the Children’s Ministry office at least 2 weeks prior to being absent. In cases of sickness or emergency, please notify the Children’s Ministry office as soon as you know you will be absent.

·       All substitutes must be approved by the Children’s Pastor and they must have a volunteer application on file.

·       All volunteers should attend at least one Cornerstone service weekly in addition to their area of service.  In order to minister to children, you need to be fed on a regular basis.
